Before Your Spray Tan: What You Need to Know
To get the best results from your spray tan, a little preparation goes a long way! Follow these simple steps to make sure your skin is perfectly prepped and ready to glow.
What to Do Before Your Appointment
1. Shower + exfoliate 24 hours before your tan
Gently exfoliate your whole body to remove dry or dead skin. This helps your tan go on evenly and last longer. Pay special attention to elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists.
2. Shave or wax at least 24 hours before
Hair removal should be done the day before to allow your skin to settle and pores to close. This prevents dark spots or uneven patches.
3. Arrive with clean, product-free skin
Please come to your appointment with no makeup, deodorant, perfume, lotions, or oils on your skin. These can act as a barrier and prevent the tan from developing properly.
4. Wear loose, dark clothing
After your appointment, your tan will need time to develop. Tight clothing can rub it off or cause streaks. A loose T-shirt, oversized dress, or baggy tracksuit is perfect.
5. Bring or wear open shoes
Flip-flops or loose sandals are best—avoid socks, boots, or tight shoes right after your tan.
